Welcome Back From Our Principal, Dr. Armas

Welcome Back From Our Principal, Dr. Armas
Posted on 08/12/2018
Good Evening,
This is Jesús Armas, principal of Royal Palm Beach High school.  I hope that you had a great summer.  As we get set for the first day of school this coming Monday, there are a few items that I would like to address.
1.     All Students, whether or not they received their schedules during our back to school nights, should look for the posted student locaters that will indicate their first period classes. Students should then report to that first period class where they will receive their schedules.
2.     Monday and Tuesday will both be 7 period days.  Throughout the rest of the year we will be on an alternating block schedule. We do this so that teachers can see students more often during the first week to help teachers and students establish routines.
3.     We expect for students to be in dress code every day including the first day.  We continue to adhere to the district’s dress code that can be found on page 13 of the District’s Parent/Student Handbook.
4.     Every school day counts and students need to be in school so that they can best learn.  Please be in attendance and on time from the first day on.
5.     Edline has now been replaced by SIS Gateway.  Parents who have working emails in our system have already received their activation codes.  Everyone will be receiving a hard copy in the mail in the next week or so.  If you did not receive an email that means that we do not have your information in our system.  Please make sure that you update your information when we send out registration correction forms later this month.
6.     Please visit our website:  www.rpbhs.org for a copy of this message along with other pertinent information.
7.     Finally, I would like to thank our parents for the opportunity to educate your child.  We understand the magnitude of that responsibility and we are grateful for your trust. We look forward to an exciting and prosperous school year.  Thank you and have a good evening and a fantastic school year.

Jesús Armas, Ed.D.
